Rivercats win Rebel Yell Tourney

YAKIMA - The Moses Lake Rivercats, a U12 baseball team, won the first annual Rebel Yell Tournament in Yakima May 2-4.

The team compiled a 5-1 record and beat the host team in the championship 3-0.

Jacob Price got the win in the championship game while Brandon Esparza struck out six with two innings of middle-relief. Zack Wulf shut the door in the sixth inning to earn the save.

Chase Tunstall was 3-for-3 with Cole Raymond getting the big hit with a solo homerun in the fourth inning.

In the last play of the game Brian Wolf broke his leg in a collision with another player that Shari Milbrandt called "horrible."

The team is coached by Keith Tunstall.
