2A all-league fastpitch teams named

WAPATO - Central Washington Athletic Conference officials have announced the 2008 division 2A all-league girls fastpitch teams. The top student athletes from Othello, East Valley, Ellensburg, Selah, Ephrata and Quincy were selected for their stand out performance on the field.

Othello's senior pitchers Nina Gonzalez and Michelle Wheeler were selected for first and second teams, respectively.

In the catcher position, Othello senior Erica Wheeler was selected for first team and Ephrata sophomore Chelsey Hubbard was chosen for second team.

For their work in the infield, Othello seniors Michelle Wheeler and BiBi Vellegas were chosen for first team and Oli Lopez for second team.

Othello outfielders Alexis Montemayor, a senior, and sophomore Kylee Mollotte were selected for first team.

Othello senior Nina Gonzalez were named co-player of the year.

East Valley's Scott Kokenge was named coach of the year.
