Tracksters vie for state competition qualification
QUINCY - Track teams, including Ephrata, Othello and Quincy, met in Quincy Friday to compete in the District 5/6 CWAC Championships. The top three in each event advanced to the state competition.
In team scores, Ephrata won in both boys' and girls' competition, scoring 144.50 and 153, respectively. Othello girls placed fourth with 75 points and the boys placed eighth with 24. The Quincy girls took eighth place with 43 points and the boys held ninth place with 23.50.
Other schools that competed in the meet were East Valley-Yakima, Ellensburg, Grandview, Prosser, Selah, Toppenish and Wapato.
