Moses Lake tennis competes in districts

Ben Nye, Connor Lange advance to regionals in doubles

YAKIMA - Yakima played host to the 4A district finals in men's tennis on Saturday and Monday. Teams from Walla Walla, Pasco, Eisenhower, Davis, Richland, Wenatchee and Moses Lake battled on the court to determine which players continue on to regional action in Spokane on Friday.

Moses Lake tennis coach Jon Wrigley is pleased with the boys.

"Since we joined the Big Nine it's our best year as a team," he said.

The pair of Ben Nye and Connor Lange will represent the Chiefs in men's doubles. This is Nye's second consecutive year qualifying for the finals - he paired with Tony Holiday last year.

"I have a great deal of respect for what Ben has done for the program," Wrigley said.
