Moses Lake varsity baseball suffers double loss, out
MOSES LAKE - The Moses Lake Chiefs varsity baseball season came to an end Saturday as they fell to Wenatchee in a loser-out ball game in Richland.
The Chiefs first loss in the double elimination tournament came on Friday as they played host to the Pasco Bulldogs. Pasco scored two runs in the first, then the Chiefs evened it up with two runs in the third. In the fifth inning the Chiefs took the lead with two runs. Pasco scored one run in the sixth and two in the seventh for the win.
The Chief's made a pitching change while leading in the sixth that led to the three runs.
"Drew pitched well," Moses Lake coach Ed McNamara said. "I'd do it a hundred times the same way," he added, referring to the change that led to the loss.
"It's baseball, you never know." he said of the loss.
Game two in Richland pitted Moses Lake against Wenatchee in a heartbreaking loser-out game. The Chiefs fell to Wenatchee by a score of 9-7.
