ZILLAH - The Royal City golf team finished their league season undefeated with a victory over Zillah on Monday, Royal golf coach Andrew Perkins said.

The Lady Knights scored a collective 447 while Zillah's girls had an incomplete team with two players.

Royal's Shelby Forester shot a 99 on Mt. Adams' par 72 course, followed by Laura Perkins with a 104, Lacy Goroski with a 111, Katreena Delay a 133 and Victoria Solis a 137. Zillah's Morgan Tynan and Michelle Tynan shot a 127 and 139, respectively.

The boys' medalist was Royal's DJ Solis, who shot an 82 on the course. Solis, who has been undefeated all year, also won the golf tournament in Othello and finished in fourth place at the tournament at Apple Tree in Yakima, according to Perkins.

"He's had a phenomenal year," he said.

Eric Spartveit of Royal shot 90, followed by Kyle Spartveit with a 91, Trevor Iverson with a 93, Kris Rice with a 100 and Cory Dixon with a 112.

For the Leopards, Eric Kilthau had the low score with an 85. Stephen Adams shot an 86, Kyle Williams a 97, Matt Hauck a 111 and Keith Comer a 127.

Monday's match signified the boys' 61st consecutive league win and the team has left nine straight league championships undefeated, Perkins said.

The Knights next play in sub-districts in Desert Aire on Thursday and will travel to Suncadia next week for districts.
