Chiefs baseball defeats Pasco

Chiefs 4, Bulldogs 2

MOSES LAKE - The Moses Lake varsity baseball team played host to the Pasco Bulldogs on Tuesday at Big Bend Community College. The Chiefs defeated the Bulldogs 4-2 in a game that secured second place in the division and home field advantage in the first round of playoffs on Friday.

"Playing at home on Friday is a huge advantage," Chiefs coach Ed McNamara said.

McNamara called the match a "good high school ball game" and said the boys did a "great job" as they "battled for second spot."

Defensive stand outs Blaine Myers and Troy Stephens have "shored up" the infield McNamara said and pointed out the two double plays made Tuesday as evidence.

The Chiefs had four runs on 10 hits with only one error. The Bulldogs had two runs on nine hits with no errors.

Moses Lake's Dylan Signorelli, who went 2-for-3 with two RBIs, scored the first run. Aaron Morice went 2-for-3, Kyle Hickman was 2-for-2 and Blaine Myers went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

The second place Chiefs play at Larson Playfield on Friday at 4 p.m.
