Man arrested

ROYAL CAMP - Law enforcement was called to a Royal Camp home Sunday night after a man living there allegedly fired a gun during a disagreement over beer, a Grant County chief deputy said.

Miguel Rivera-Ramos, 47, Othello, was arrested on suspicion of alien possessing a firearm, unlawful discharge of a firearm and resisting arrest, said Grant County Chief Deputy Courtney Conklin on Monday. No injuries were reported.

Grant County deputies were called after receiving a call that a male allegedly fired a pistol inside the Linden Road home.

Rivera-Ramos, apparently got upset because his roommate's friend reportedly said he wanted more beer, Conklin said. The friend reportedly didn't live at the home and wasn't paying bills for the household, which apparently upset Rivera-Ramos, Conklin said.

The other men inside the home came out when Grant County deputies arrived, but Rivera-Ramos stayed inside, Conklin said.

The Moses Lake Tactical Response Team was dispatched at 8:37 p.m., tear gas was deployed and Rivera-Ramos was arrested, Conklin said.

Officers found the pistol Rivera-Ramos allegedly used underneath a sofa cushion in the home, Conklin said.
