Rage in the Sage tests cyclists

EPHRATA - The Rage in the Sage Mountain Bike Festival took place Saturday and Sunday under sunny skies in Ephrata. The event, which consisted of a Short Track race on Saturday and the Beezley Burn cross country race on Sunday, brought in more than 100 racers to compete in various categories. Saturday's Short Track event ran 15 to 30 minutes around a 3/4 mile course. Sunday's Beezley Burn punished riders on a rough eight-mile course with a short lap for beginners, two laps for sport, three for expert, and four for the pros. The professionals competed for a $2,000 pay out while the amateurs took away prizes from event sponsors. The 2008 Beezley Burn race results, by category:
