Quincy Jacks fall to Tigers

QUINCY - The Quincy boys took on the Othello Tigers at home in tennis action on Tuesday. In team play, the Othello Tigers defeated the Jacks 3 matches to 2.

In singles action, Blake VanDyke of the Quincy Jacks defeated Adam Bens 6-2, 7-5. The Jacks' Jose Amador bested David Charles 6-1, 2-6, 6-0.

Doubles play saw Skyler Perez and Johathan Velasquez of Quincy fall to the pair of Judah Gowen and Ryley Peterson 2-6, 2-6.

Quincy's Garrett Van Dyke and Brett Stewart were defeated by T.D. Peterson and Sam Harris 2-6, 0-6.

Javier Gordillo and Michael Garcia of Quincy were beaten by Matt Bens and Taylor Vigreri of Othello.
