Bouvier buried Monday
Funeral services held in Nevada
CARSON CITY, Nev. - Funeral services were held in Carson City, Nev., Monday morning for a woman who died in Moses Lake after an alleged assault March 1.
Elizabeth D. Bouvier, 39, was pronounced dead at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane March 2.
Her boyfriend, William M. Creek, 48, was arrested the day of the alleged attack for assault in the fourth degree. He is being charged with first-degree manslaughter in Grant County Superior Court.
Bouvier's husband, Marshall Bouvier, said funeral services were held Monday morning at Walton's Carson Gardens Cemetery in her home state. He said she was surrounded by family members who love her. She was given a spiritual blessing during the service.
"I'm sure she was content," Marshall said.
After reading an interview with Elizabeth's friend, Pat Rinker, featured in the March 5 edition of the Columbia Basin Herald, he said he learned the song "Amazing Grace" was significant to his wife.
In the interview, Rinker said she hoped "Amazing Grace" would be played at Elizabeth's funeral service because she often came over for coffee and listened to the song. She said Elizabeth loved the song.
Marshall said the song was not played, rather it was sang at her funeral service.
He said it was incredible to learn Elizabeth had friends who cared for and supported her.
There was an article featured last week in the Columbia Basin Herald concerning Moses Lake police attempting to locate a specific witness to the March 1 beating for questioning.
Police Capt. Dave Ruffin said the witness was located last week and interviewed.
