Asker dominates for Ephrata Sportsmen

SPOKANE - Daniel Asker of the Ephrata Sportsman Association won four different divisions last weekend at the 2008 Spokesman-Review Champion of Champions Trapshoot.

Asker finished first in the 16-yard "C" class, the handicap "C" class, the 16-yard junior division and the handicap junior division. The competition was on Saturday at the Spokane Gun Club.

Asker scored either 94 or 95 out of 100 in each division, and also recorded three perfect rounds of 25 for 25. The Champion of Champions event had representatives from 46 gun clubs.

Other winners for the Ephrata club included Bill Tucker in the Class "A" open and veteran divisions, Ulvert Lester in the Class "B" open division, and Theresa Weaver as the highest-scoring woman.

The Ephrata Sportsman Association has a traveling league each Tuesday at 7 p.m., a skeet competition each Thursday at 6 p.m., and a trap shoot on Sundays at 1 p.m. Memberships can be purchased at Olde World Trading in Ephrata and Moses Lake.
