Grant County Port District No. 6 (Port of Wilson Creek) has from time to time various needs in all trades; these may include but re not limited to electrical, carpentry, plumbing, building excavating, water/sewer, etc. The port desires to expand the General Small Works/Limited Works Rosters as provided in Port policy and RCW 39.04.155. Responsible contracts interested in providing services to the port should submit such request, including current records of any applicable licenses, certifications, registrations, bonding, insurance or other appropriate matters. Responsible contractors can be added to the rosters at any time upon such request, Limited Works Roster listing are good for two years from date of entry. Responsible contractors shall be added to the rosters at any time that they submit a written request and necessary records.

Notice to Pesticide Suppliers

Sealed bids, plainly marked "BID for Herbicide Materials 2008, will be received by Grant County at the office of the Board of County Commissioners located in the County Courthouse, P.O. Box 37, 35 C Street NW- Room 207, Ephrata, WA 98823, until 1:45 P.M., Tuesday, March 18, 2008 and will then and there be opened and publicly read for the construction of the improvements.

This contract provides for furnishing and delivering herbicide materials in accordance with plans and specifications.

Specifications may be obtained from the office of the County Engineer, 124 Enterprise St. S.E., Ephrata, WA 98823, at no charge.

The Board of County Commissioners of Grant County Washington, reserves the right to reject any and all bids.

Yahoo! has applied for a State Waste Discharge permit in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 90.48 Revised Code of Washington (RCW) and Chapter 173-216 Washington Administrative Code (WAC).

Yahoo! presently owns or operates a data center which is designed to handle a maximum daily flow of 109,500 gallons per day for Phase 1 and Phase 2 combined. The wastewater, following treatment, must meet the requirements of the Washington State Water Pollution Control Act and applicable regulations for a permit to be issued.

Following evaluation of the application and other available information, a draft permit has been developed which would allow the discharge of treated wastewater from Quincy Data Center to the City of Quincy's Reclaimed Wastewater Treatment Facility.

A tentative determination has been made on the effluent limitations and special permit conditions that will prevent and control pollution. A final determination will not be made until all timely comments received in response to this notice have been evaluated.

PUBLIC COMMENT AND INFORMATION

"NOTICE OF ROAD CONSTRUCTION"

Adams County McManamon road (Grant County 12 SE road) Road Closure

Adams County McManamon road (Grant County 12SE road) between Kulm road and May road (Grant County H-SE will be closed for the reconstruction of irrigation crossings between March 17th and March 28th. This portion of McManamon road (12 SE road) will be closed for approximately 2 days per crossing.

The Adams County McManamon Road (Grant County 12 SE road) from Byers Road (Adams/Grant County Line) east to the bridge crossing Crab Creek in the Columbia National Wildlife Refuge, approximately 4 miles in length, will be closed to thur traffic from March 31st to July 4th for reconstruction of roadway. NOTICE

Moses Lake- The Grant County Mosquito Control District #1 is continuing with its annual mosquito control services. The biological products Altosid A.L.L. and Bacillus thurningiensis israelensis (b.t.i) are being used this year in the aerial larviciding program. These products are applied to swamps or other standing water where mosquito larva are present.

The biological product Bacillus sphaericus or Temephos will be applied to sewer ponds and similar standing water high in organic matter.

Products with the active ingredients naled or synthetic pyrethroid will be used in the night time adulticiding program.

These control operations will be going through out the mosquito season, March to October. For more information contact the District office in Moses Lake at 765-7731.
