Law enforcement finds half pound of cocaine
OTHELLO - Law enforcement arrested an Othello man after recovering drugs and a firearm Wednesday afternoon.
Alberto Soriano Bravo, 31, was arrested at his Sylvan Drive apartment for possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, possession of a controlled substance and illegal possession of a firearm.
Police Chief Steve Dunnagan said an approximate half pound of cocaine valued at nearly $20,000 was located along with a semi-automatic pistol in Bravo's apartment. The chief said Bravo was not supposed to be in possession of a firearm.
The arrest was a cumulative effort between the police department, Adams County Sheriff's Office and Interagency Narcotics Enforcement Team (INET), he said.
The search teams went to the apartment in search of the drugs, Dunnagan said. The chief said he could not reveal how the search teams knew the narcotics were located in the apartment.
