Angelina Cardona Yzaguirre

Angelina Cardona Yzaguirre, 71, a longtime Moses Lake resident, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2008, with her family by her side.

Holy Rosary will be prayed at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2008, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church led by Micky Vela. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, March 14, 2008, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church with Father Felipe Pulido as celebrant. Interment will follow in Pioneer Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are in care of Kayser's Chapel & Crematory. Angelina was born Aug. 7, 1936, to Juan and Ruberta Cardona in Asherton, Texas. She was raised in Asherton, Texas, where she later married Genaro Medellin Yzaguirre on June 25, 1956. In 1961 they moved to Ontario, Ore., where they lived for six years before moving to Moses Lake, where she resided until her death. Angelina loved to play Mexican bingo, garden, BBQ's, babies, music, spending time with her family, and to travel. Her family lovingly referred to her as "Traveling Angie." She was an active member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Angelina is survived by her children; son Genaro Jr. and wife Petra of Pasco, daughter Janie and husband Javier Rocha of Moses Lake, son Pete and wife Cindy of Marysville, Wash, son Adan and wife Kellie of Moses Lake, daughter Eva and husband Ehumberto Moreno of Moses Lake, son Luis of Spokane, and daughter Gloria and husband Gabriel Rubio of Moses Lake. Angelina was also the loving grandmother to 23 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Margarita Tobias of Corpus Christi Texas, and Maria Gonzalez of Grand Rapids, Mich., her sister-in-law Martina Cardona of Moses Lake; a very special niece Susie and her husband Frank Torres of Grandview; and her many nieces and nephews. Angelina was preceded in death by her husband, four brothers, her mother, and father.
