Hispanic man allegedly saw lethal assault

MOSES LAKE - Moses Lake police are looking for a man who witnessed a male reportedly assaulting a woman which eventually led to her death earlier this month.

At approximately 4 p.m., March 1, Elizabeth Bouvier, 39, was reportedly beaten by her boyfriend William M. Creek, 48, who was arrested for assault in the fourth degree.

The incident began in the Wal-Mart parking lot and ended on Maiers Road. The charges were upgraded to second-degree murder-domestic violence the following day when Bouvier died in Spokane.

Police Chief Dean Mitchell stated police are looking for a witness who reportedly saw the assault. The witness is described as a Hispanic male in his mid-50s who was wearing western-theme clothing, he noted. The man is approximately 5 feet, 8 inches tall with a stocky build and a mustache. The witness appeared to be driving a gray Ford F-150 pickup.

Mitchell urges people who might know the witness or saw the incident to contact Sgt. Dave Sands at 509-766-9230.

Creek is in custody and is expected to enter a plea next week in Grant County Superior Court.
