Gertrude Angela Reed Larson

Gertrude Angela Reed Larson passed away peacefully on June 8, 2008.

She was born to Richard and Dora James on May 15, 1920, in British Guyana. She married Cyril Reed and they had five children. Cyril passed away in 1971.

Gertrude moved to the United States in 1973. She lived in New York and Georgia before moving to Moses Lake in 1976.

She loved to sew and soon took a job at the Carriage Trade doing alterations. Gertrude played the keyboard. She had a love for religious and classical music.

She met William Larson and they married on Sept. 24, 1981. He has since passed away. She is survived by a sister, Berrie and her husband Tal Di Lorenzo, special niece Jackie Peters and longtime friend Dorothy Denton, her children Paul and wife Pauline, Dorothy and husband Joe, Donna and husband Henrick, Elizabeth and husband Pat, Philip and wife Cathy, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A special thank you to the nurses and staff at Summerwood and Rich and LaVonne Kennedy.

A memorial service will be Friday June 27, at 1 p.m. at Our Lady of Fatima 200 N. Dale Rd.
