Kitsap BlueJackets sweep Pirates

Moses Lake plays Wenatchee on Tuesday

MOSES LAKE - The Moses Lake Pirates wrapped up a three game home stand by losing all three to the Kitsap BlueJackets at Larson Playfield.

Game one on Friday saw the Pirates lose by a score of 8-4. Moses Lake scored four runs on nine hits and four errors. Ty Rubio scored in the first inning after a walk. In the second inning Nick Stiltner scored, followed by Brock Gates and Brandon Huerta.

Game two on Saturday was a classic pitchers duel with the Pirates taking the lead early. The BlueJackets tied the game in the eighth sending the game into extra innings. Kitsap scored two in the 12th making the final score 7-5.

Game three on Sunday was a classic rout with the BlueJackets bombing the Pirates 18-5 in a game that saw the ejection of Pirates head coach Trevor Brown. Kitsap scored six in the first inning and never looked back, scoring in every inning except the eight and ninth.

The Pirates next travel to Wenatchee to take on the Apple Sox on Tuesday. Moses Lake's next home game is Thursday at Larson Playfield versus the Corvallis Knights.
