Betty was born Sept. 19, 1929, to the late Robert McNeil and Lima Lucille (Poe) Irving. She married Ray Bailey on Aug. 19, 1957, in Spokane. They resided in Soap Lake and Wenatchee before making Moses Lake their home.

She worked as a checker at Tri-State Outfitters for many years. She also worked as a dental assistant for a short time, however she enjoyed staying at home.

One of the highlights of her life was taking a trip with her husband and two children from Spokane to Huron, S.D., on motor scooters.

Her family lived on a small farm in Mae Valley where she enjoyed taking care of her goats and dogs.

She enjoyed going to yard sales and staying active with the senior center where he drove a bus and she accompanied him. She had a collection of Betty Boop and magnets. Betty was known for the many beautiful cards she sent, and the two-dollar bills that accompanied them for the children's birthday. She had a great sense of humor and will be missed by her family and many friends.

Betty was an active member of the Evangelical Methodist Church and loved sharing her Lord.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, James and Rose Mary; and her sister Beverly Curley.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray and daughter, LaJune.
