Moses Lake man arrested for prowls
Ephrata police seek second suspect
EPHRATA - Ephrata Police arrested a Moses Lake man Sunday after police reportedly found stolen items in a vehicle he was believed to be using.
Police are seeking a second adult male suspect that was last seen wearing dark clothes and reportedly ran from police, Ephrata Police Chief Joe Varick said on Monday.
The unnamed suspect and Erik C. Olivares were allegedly seen looking into vehicles near J Street Northeast and Division Avenue in Ephrata.
Olivares, 21, was arrested about 2:34 a.m. Sunday on suspicion of obstructing a public servant, third-degree escape, vehicle prowl, possessing stolen property and resisting arrest.
Before Olivares' arrest, he allegedly led police on a foot chase and was later found between the Sage Hills High School and Summitview Street.
Police carried out a search warrant on a vehicle Olivares allegedly used and reportedly found a board game, CD and cell phone allegedly taken from two vehicles.
