Coaches prepare for RiverDogs baseball camp

EPHRATA - Washington State Baseball Hall of Fame Coach Dave Johnson is the featured coach for the 2008 RiverDogs Baseball Camp.

The camp, open to boys and girls, and will be broken into age groups and ability. The camp is designed to emphasize baseball fundamentals.

Basic skill development will be taught in the morning and skill positions will be focused on in the afternoon. Afternoon play also includes team and situation play. Hitting, running, catching and throwing will be a part of the instruction during all phases of the camp.

Gabe Boruff of Washington State University and Denny Oughton of Clemson University will teach at the camp with Johnson.

The camp runs June 30 through July 2. Cost for the camp is $99 and includes a T-shirt. Register at the Ephrata City Hall or online at www.ephrata.org.
