MOSES LAKE - The Moses Lake Pirates extended their winning streak to four games on Tuesday by defeating the Olympia Athletics 13-1 in a classic rout.

Team owner Brent Kirwan said the players were "looking fantastic" and said he "feels good" at how the team has "really come together" in such a short time.

The game remained close through the early innings with the Pirates scoring one run in the second inning, two runs in the fourth and one run in the sixth.

The seventh inning was a blowout with all players getting a turn at bat and scoring seven runs in the process.

Player of the game was catcher Devin Walker of Pleasant Grove, Utah. Walker went 4-for-6 with four runs scored.

The Pirates continue their three-game home stand against Olympia tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Larson Playfield.
