Dr. David W. Bridgeman

Dr. David W. Bridgeman, chiropractor, age 82, of Mt. Baldy, Oliver, British Columbia, passed away on May 31, 2008, in the South Okanogan General Hospital.

Dave is survived by four children: Dr. Dave (Wendy) Bridgeman of Cle Elum, Wash., Sherry (Doyle) Cate of Wenatchee, Wash., John (Mary) Bridgeman of Mt. Vernon, Wash., and Coy Bridgeman of Medicine Hat, Alberta; 12 grandchildren: Jason, Cassie, Heath, Stacey, Misty, Brandon, Beau, Leah, Julie, Reed, Devin and Chelsey; 15 great-grandchildren: Brittany, Alexis, Sydney, Austin, Mikie, Dylan, Jagger, Jett, Lola, Crew, Zac, Grace, Marshall and expecting Baby Favero, and August Cate.

He enjoyed the company of many close friends and classmates and his Mt. Baldy family.

Dave was born in Yakima on Dec. 11, 1925, where he was raised. After graduating he met and married Geraldine Gilley.

They were married in Yakima on Sept. 11, 1947. They moved to Iowa in 1950 where David attended Palmer Chiropractic College.

After graduation and time in Seattle, they moved to Moses Lake where they set up their home and practice. In 1966 the family moved to Osoyoos, British Columbia while he had his practice in Oroville. Dave and Gerry moved to Whitehorse, Yukon for 10 years, returning to Osoyoos upon retirement.

Their dream was to have a home at Mt. Baldy, where he lived for the past eight years.

Dave lost his love Geraldine of 58 years on July 15, 2005; also his parents and his sister Lola Jensen.

Dave enjoyed baseball, fishing, hunting, curling, playing pool and the outdoors.

His passion was always skiing with his family. He also loved to travel in Canada and the United States.

A gathering will be held on June 22 at noon.
