Jesse Daniel

Jesse Daniel was born Jan. 28, 1924, in Green County, Ga., to Steve and Martha Daniel. He was the second child of five children. Jesse and his family were sharecroppers for many years. During that time he attended school and completed the sixth grade.

In 1943 he joined the U.S. Army and also became a Military Police Officer. He was discharged from the Army in 1946. He met and married Annie L. Graves and they had three children. He then moved to Seattle.

He worked for many years at the Naval Shipyard and other various jobs. In 1964 he married Audrey Jamerson and together they had 10 children. He moved to Moses Lake in 1992 and joined the New Light Baptist Church. He later studied and became a Deacon as well as receiving his high school diploma in 2002 from Moses Lake High School.

Deacon Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, one son, Jesse Daniel Jr., two stepsons, Bill Jamerson and Henry Jamerson Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 44 years, Audrey Daniel, one sister, Helen, two sons, Bronzel Daniel, Moses Lake, Tony Jamerson, Moses Lake, five daughters, Beonis Lee, Moses Lake, Sandy Jamerson, California, Terry Jamerson, Seattle, Cathy Arnold (Larry), Moses Lake, and Antoinette Daniel, Seattle, numerous relatives, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
