EPHRATA - The 2008 Ephrata Grid Kids preseason football camp is right around the corner. The August 14-16 camp is $25.00 and takes place at Ephrata Middle School between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Participants will learn the fundamentals of full contact football from qualified coaches.

All necessary equipment will be provided for participants.

Mike Crowder, a coach at the Grid Kid camp said participants will have the opportunity to learn different aspects of football, he said.

"Every kid will get a better taste of all the different positions," he said.

There will be a skills competition on Saturday, Aug. 16 with prizes.

Parents will have the opportunity to meet coaches and ask any questions regarding the upcoming football season. Every participant will receive a free T-shirt. After the camp ends, participants can enjoy a free Saturday of swimming at Splash Zone.

Participants may register at www.ephrata.org or at the Ephrata City Hall.
