Robert Lee Jamison

| July 21, 2008 9:00 PM

Robert Lee Jamison passed away peacefully from brain cancer at LakeRidge Special Care Center on the morning of July 17, 2008, with his loving family at his side. He was born on May 26, 1947, to Robert Lee and Mabel Jamison in Tacoma, Wash. He received his bachelor's degree from Washington State University, where he learned to shoe horses and teach. Bob went on to get his master's degree in education from Central Washington University, and spent 36 years as a teacher, Vocational Administrator, and Director of Alternative School Education for both Moses Lake and Ephrata School Districts.

He was a true Renaissance man of many talents. A talented gunsmith, he held a patent for an inletting technique that he later sold to Ruger firearms. He was an expert in car restoration, an accomplished technical writer for several magazines, and a skilled craftsman of many custom kayaks, boats, guitars, houses and even swimming pools. He was a decorated Grand Master marksman and enjoyed trap, skeet and high-power rifle shooting. He loved hunting, fishing and his dogs.

Above all these and other accomplishments, the ones he was most proud of were his son, Joe, and his best friend and wife of 32 years, Terri. He didn't know a stranger, and was blessed with many friends. Bob will be greatly missed by those whose lives he touched.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 25 at the First Presbyterian Church in Moses Lake with Pastor Eric Frey and Dr. Paul Wagner officiating. Arrangements are in care of Kayser's Chapel & Craematory, Moses Lake. You may sign the guest book or leave a note for the family at www.kayserschapel.com.
