Two vehicles collide on SR 17

MOSES LAKE - Two people were treated for possible injuries following a two-vehicle collision on state Route 17, 9 miles north of Moses Lake Friday night.

Lourence A. Dormaier, 32, Ephrata, was traveling northbound on the highway in a 2005 Dodge Ram pulling a watercraft trailer, the Washington State Patrol reported Monday.

Meagan M. Darling, 26, Ephrata, was traveling southbound on the highway in a 1999 Oldsmobile sedan.

Dormaier reportedly crossed the centerline and struck Darling's vehicle in the southbound lane, the state patrol reported.

Dormaier was reportedly not injured.

Darling was transported to Samaritan Healthcare for treatment to a possible broken elbow, injured back and abrasions.

Jaime Beliz, 31, Moses Lake, was a passenger in the Oldsmobile sedan and was transported to Samaritan Healthcare for treatment for a possible broken collarbone, the state patrol reported.

Dormaier was cited for improper lane travel.

The state patrol advised the collision was due to driving over the centerline and driver inattention.

The Dodge Ram reportedly sustained approximately $10,000 worth of damage and was towed from the scene. The Oldsmobile sedan was totaled and towed from the scene.
