George M. Smart

George M. (Butch) Smart, 60, passed away July 4, 2008, at his home in Moses Lake.

Butch was born June 26, 1948, in Ephrata to George C. and Lucille (Horn) Smart.

He went to school in Moses Lake, graduating from Moses Lake High School in 1966. From there he attended college at the University of Washington in Seattle. He then began his work in the construction field, working on both commercial and residential projects in California and Washington, with the last 14 years in Moses Lake and the surrounding area. He was employed by Desert Development of Moses Lake.

He is survived by two brothers, Ronald Sirek (Angie) of Kent, Wash., and Dale Sirek of Moses Lake, many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Butch will be missed and remembered by all who knew him. Rest in your peace, Butch.

At Butch's request, there will be no service. However, there will be a celebration of his life on Wednesday, July 9, 2008, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Papa's Restaurant and Lounge, 1165 N. Stratford Rd. in Moses Lake.
