Quincy outlasts Othello, Moses Lake tops Bothell

MOSES LAKE - Larson Playfield hosted the Cal Ripken Firecracker Classic baseball tournament last weekend.

The desert sun rose temperatures on the field to more than 100 degrees as 10-, 11-, and 12-year-old baseball players from North Central Washington battled it out for the Firecracker Classic championships.

Quincy defeated Othello 12-5 in the 10-year-old tournament.

Bellingham 8, Moses Lake 3

MOSES LAKE - The 11-year-old Moses Lake team fell to the Bellingham Baby Bells 8-3 under the scorching summer sun.

Moses Lake 6, Bothell 3

MOSES LAKE - The Moses Lake 12-year-old team defeated Bothell 6-3.

Larson Playfield plays host to the 10-year-old Cal Ripken state tournament this weekend.
