MOSES LAKE - Temperatures rose to more than 160 degrees on the asphalt at the Ephrata Raceway Park Saturday. The Scorching June sun helped overheat race car engines and cause vehicles to mishandle on the track.

The blistering heat was not enough to stop Northwest Pro-4 Pickups Series point leader Jason Majors. Majors earned the main event victory, outlasting Mike Willey who placed second in the sixteen-truck race.

Bart Hector dominated the Pepsi Cola street stocks, nearly lapping the fourth place car. Kenny Brown earned the victory in the Jerry's Auto Supply hobby stocks.

In a race littered with yellow caution flags, Dallas White took the checkered flag in the Kim Janke Farm Agent youth hornets race.
