NOTICE OF CONSTRUCTION,

ROAD DETOURS AND CLOSURES

GRANT COUNTY

CRP 04-15

BRIDGE # 228, 4 -SE

JANUARY 15, 2008

TO ALL LOCAL RESIDENCES, BUSINESSES AND PUBLIC AGENCIES:

As you may have become aware, there will be construction work in progress on Bridge #228 at Road 4-SE. The contractor for this project is Hurst Construction, and the work will consist of the reconstruction of an existing county bridge on a two-lane county road including the demolition of the existing bridge, construction and maintenance of detours, roadway excavation, embankment compaction, crushed surfacing base course, maintenance rock, a new superstructure for Bridge #228, beam guardrail place and other work in accordance with the contract plans and specifications

In consideration of this project and respective safety issues, the traffic plan calls for intermittent road closures, detours and, occasionally, limited access to driveways. Once more, bridge detours will be constructed to ensure minimal amount of limited access time. We encourage all parties to pay careful attention to temporary traffic signage and use extra caution when nearing and passing through the construction zones.

Hurst Construction will work diligently to ensure minimum impact on the regular activities of the surrounding parties. Your cooperation and tolerance are, in advance, greatly appreciated. The project is scheduled to begin January 28, 2008 and for completion by March 15, 2008. If you have further concerns, or would like more information on this project, you may contact The Grant County Public Works Department at (509) 754-6082 or the Contractor's Project Superintendent at (509) 664-0173.

Respectfully,

Hurst Construction
