Eloise M. Lehman

Eloise M. Lehman, 84, died peacefully Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008, at the Samaritan Keep Nursing Home, where she had resided since November of 2006.

Eloise was born in Groesbeck, Texas, April 21, 1923. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of more than 60 years, Dayton Lehman, who died in Moses Lake in November 2003. Mr. and Mrs. Lehman were residents of Moses Lake for more than 40 years, having moved there from Wiesbaden, Germany, where Dayton was stationed with the U.S. Air Force. They remained in Moses Lake following his retirement from the military. Eloise, a lifelong member of the Church of Christ, was not only a devoted wife and mother, but held several different retail positions over the years. She moved to Watertown in November of 2006 to be near her daughter.

Eloise will be greatly missed by her family: daughter Mary and husband Dr. Donald Danser of Watertown; son Dayton Jr. and wife Esther of Arlington, Va.; son Ric and wife Joy of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico; son Roger of London, England; brother Wilmer Rogers and wife Norma Jean of DeSoto, Texas; grandchildren Jeff, Cristin, Derek, Abby, Bekah, and Tucker; and great-granddaughter Ragon.

Mrs. Lehman will be inurned with her husband in a private ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery. Contributions in her memory may be made to Plant Now, c/o The Vineyard, 1201 Riverside Avenue, Ft. Collins, CO 80524, a church-planting ministry in Mexico.
