Raymond Murlin Tainter

Raymond Murlin Tainter, 77, longtime Moses Lake resident, died at home Sunday morning, Jan. 6, in Moses Lake. Raymond was born Dec. 30, 1930, in Soldiers Grove, Wis., to Ray and Mary Tainter.

After making their home in Moses Lake Ray met and married Jo Anna Knowles on Aug. 11, 1956. Raymond honorably served his country during the Korean Conflict in the U.S. Navy. Raymond worked for local trucking companies before retiring. During retirement Raymond enjoyed many hobbies, traveling with his wife as much as possible and enjoyed visiting with friends over coffee a couple times a day at local coffee shops.

Raymond was preceded in death by his wife, Jo Anna Tainter and his parents Ray and Mary Tainter. He is survived by his son Terry Tainter and his wife Shirley, daughter Tamara Bruegeman and her husband Richard, four grandchildren Kit Tainter, Nicholas Tainter, Heather Kent and Eric Bruegeman; three great-grandchildren Michael Kent, Sean Kent and Mason Bruegeman; two sisters Maxine Bohn and Marcella Tainter and several nephews and one niece.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 10, at First Presbyterian Church in Moses Lake. Burial with full military honors will immediately follow in Pioneer Memorial Gardens, Moses Lake.
