Berlin (Pinky) Middlebrooks

| January 14, 2008 8:00 PM

Berlin (Pinky) Middlebrooks, a longtime Moses Lake resident, passed away with his loving wife by his side on Jan. 8, 2008, in Federal Way, Wash. He was bom March 18, 1919, at Mamou, Louisiana to parents George and Alice Middlebrooks. Pinky married the love of his life, Mary E. (Beth), on July 5, 1942, and began their 65-year-journey through life together. Pinky retired as a Lt. Colonel from Larsen Air Force Base in 1960. Following his military retirement, he and his family settled in Moses Lake. He was a realtor in the area for many years and owned Moses Lake Realty prior to fully retiring to travel. He was a life member of the Moses Lake Elks Club and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. After joining the Family Motor Coach Association in 1974, he and Beth traveled in their motor home for more than 30 years, living part of the year in Yuma, Ariz., but always returning to Moses Lake each spring. Pinky is survived by his wife Beth, sons Berlin Jr. and James (and his wife Shelley). He leaves behind his beloved grandchildren Michael Middlebrooks (Darcy), Megan Mudrack (Jason), Craig Middlebrooks (Brandi), and Heather Ladousier; and five great-grandchildren (Damon, Jakob, Reilly, Annalise and Gavin). At his request, there will be no services.
