Joseph Albert Strother

| January 9, 2008 8:00 PM

Joseph Albert Strother passed away on Jan. 5, 2008, at Ephrata after a long battle with cancer. Joey was born Jan. 28, 1985, at Madigan Army hospital to Cynthia Olson and Vincent Strother. Joey enjoyed camping and fishing with Grandma Bev and Grandpa Bart. He also enjoyed hiking and boating with his family and hanging out with his friends at the apartment where he lived.

He enjoyed being Uncle Joey to his niece Shawnna who is 1 year old. Joey was very proud of all his accomplishments he achieved at the Ephrata High School FBLA and his wrestling career at Ephrata High School and Brazoswood High School in Texas. Joey was much too young to leave us and will be missed very much. Joey is survived by his mother Cynthia of Ephrata, his father Vince of Angleton, Texas, his maternal grandparents Bart and Bev Olson of Ephrata, his paternal grandparents Darrell and Linda Strother of Texas, brothers Billy and Jedd and sister Tasha. Aunts and uncles include John and Tina Brissey of Ephrata, David and Tracie Lamb of Centralia, James and Andrea Danielson of Moses Lake, Nick and Melody Strother, Terry and Randy Bruce, Mark and Rhonda Strother, all of Texas. Numerous extended family including cousins, great-grandparents and great-aunts and uncles.

Joey didn't want a funeral, so we have arranged to celebrate his life on Saturday Jan. 12, at the Ephrata Eagles club from noon to 3 p.m.

Scharbach's Columbia Funeral Chapel in Quincy is assisting the family with cremation arrangements.
