MOSES LAKE - A Moses Lake man suspected in several rental storage burglaries in Grant County and wanted on other unrelated warrants was arrested Thursday.

Shane David Holman, 33, reportedly tried to run from deputies and was later found with items believed to be stolen, the Grant County Sheriff's Office said.

The sheriff's office is recommending Holman be charged with possession of stolen property after tools, suitcases and "all kinds of stuff," was found with him, Chief Deputy John Turley said Monday.

An awaiting deputy caught Holman about 10 a.m. near a motor home on Beacon Road, where Holman was believed to be staying.

Deputies found a stolen snowmobile trailer from the Kittitas County Sheriff's Office, a checkbook from a Spokane resident and other items.

The license plate on the snowmobile trailer was reportedly taken from the Grant County Sheriff's Office.

Some of the other unnamed items reportedly came from Conley's Mini-Storage, which is less than a block from where Holman was staying. The mini-storage company's owner knew some victims' names and identified some items, Turley said.

An anonymous caller helped deputies find Holman.

He was arrested on five warrants, which are failure to appear, driving while license suspended, driving under the influence of alcohol, unlawful possession of a firearm and motor vehicle theft.

Deputies are trying to reunite the found items with the correct owners.

Turley said a police report needs to be made if someone thinks they're missing items. Some victims have probably been contacted by deputies.

Deputies have spent over 16 hours going through the items and expected to be done with the work Monday.
