Boys basketball recaps

QUINCY - A slow start on Saturday night didn't deter the Quincy boys from picking up an important Central Washington Athletic Conference win.

Trailing the visiting Grandview Greyhounds 13-6 after one quarter, the Jackrabbits exploded to the tune of 60 points over the final three periods, going on for a 66-52 triumph.

Eric Martin scored a game-high 28 points and added nine rebounds for Quincy. Jesse Gonzales added 13 points and nine rebounds, with Cory Keller chipping in 12 points. That was more than enough to offset Grandview's C.J. Lopez, who went off for 23 points.

Quincy looks to keep its momentum going on Friday when it hosts CWAC rival Ellensburg at 7:30 p.m.

Saturday

Ephrata 91, Wapato 53

Senior Ryan Lutz was the Tigers' leading scorer for the second straight night, tallying 22 points. Daniel Simon finished with 14 points, while Patrick Simon and Ross Buchert scored 11 apiece.
