Clifford Hanson

Clifford (Cliff) H. Hanson was bom April 5, 1919, at Atwater, Minn., the son of Holm and Esther Hanson.

On June 24, 1940, he married Leone Naber. They lived and farmed south of Atwater until 1962 when they moved to Bellevue, Wash. In 1971 they moved to Othello. In 1974 they moved to Moses Lake, where he lived until his death. After Leone's death, Cliff married Lucille Ellison on Sept. 8, 2000. Cliff passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, Feb. 1, 2008, at the age of 88 years and 10 months. Cliff enjoyed a keen mind and good health until his Father called him home.

Cliff's greatest love was for his Heavenly Father and his family. His hobby was gardening and growing flowers for others to enjoy. Cliff was a selfless loving man to all who knew him and will be greatly missed for his timely wisdon and inspiration.

In 1934, Cliff made his choice to serve God and did so faithfully and quietly throughout his life. His home was dedicated for Sunday fellowship services until his death.

He is survived by his children, Carolyn (Rodney) Loera, Spokane; Ron (Sharon) Hanson, Moses Lake; Lynda (Richard) Eickman, Fairbanks, Alaska; grandchildren, Tim Steinbrecher, Darin Hanson, Dana Hanson, Darci Homesley, Desiree Hamilton, and nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was our Dad, Grandpa, and dearest friend!

He was preceded in death by his parents, Holm and Esther; four siblings, Kermit, Bert, Evelyn, and Carlton; wife, Leone, second wife, Lucille, and one grandson, Terry Steinbrecher.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, Feb. 9, 1 p.m., at Chief Moses Middle School in Moses Lake. Steve Pierson and Kelsey Yung will be officiating. Burial will follow the service at Pioneer Memorial Gardens, Moses Lake. Arrangements in care of Nicoles Funeral Home. Visitation, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Friday, Feb. 8, family present 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
