Semi truck and SUV collide

MOSES LAKE - A semi-truck and an SUV collided near the entrance to a business along North Frontage Road east of Moses Lake Monday morning.

Three people were involved in the collision, Grant County Sheriff's Office Chief Deputy John Turley said. Some information concerning the collision was unavailable Monday because responding deputies were still at the scene.

Turley said it appeared at least one person was transported to Samaritan Healthcare for injuries. He said one of the people involved was a woman nearly six months pregnant.

The identities of the people involved in the collision were not available, Turley said. The registered owner to one of the vehicles is from Warden, he added.

Turley said at one point a man was trapped inside one of the vehicles, but was freed a few minutes later.

The involved vehicles, a Snow Foods semi truck and the 1991 Ford Explorer, each had extensive damage to the front-end portions.

Grant County sheriff's deputies and Grant County Fire District No. 5 responded to the collision.
