Ephrata man arrested for slitting man's throat
EPHRATA — An Ephrata man allegedly slit another man’s throat with a knife after reportedly hearing threatening voices in his head Monday.
Bryan Leslie Kincade, 29, was arrested for assault in the second degree-domestic violence, according to the Ephrata police staff.
He reportedly used an 8 inch kitchen knife to cut a 51-year-old Ephrata man’s throat on Fourth Avenue, the Ephrata police staff reported. The wound was a 4 inch gash and the victim was transported to Columbia Basin Hospital for treatment and was later released, the police department reported.
The victim is allegedly the boyfriend of one of Kincade’s family members.
Police located Kincade at an Ephrata fuel station and arrested him shortly after the assault.
The suspect reportedly told officers he heard voices in his head prior to the assault, according to police records.
It not clear if the suspect was treated by Grant County Mental Health as a result of the assault.
