The Noxious Weed Control Board of Grant County, in accordance with RCW 17.10.050, shall hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, January 20, 2009, at 10:00 a.m., at the Bureau of Reclamation Building, 32 "C" Street N.W., Room 321, Ephrata, Washington, 98823. This hearing shall be held for the purpose of considering applications to determine the nominations for positions of Director for Section 2 and Director for Section 4 of the Noxious Weed Control Board of Grant County.

NOTICE OF VACANCY - BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Notice is hereby given that due to the expiration of term of office for a Director of the Noxious Weed Control Board of Grant County, candidates are being sought to fill this position by appointment.

The expiring position on the Board is for Director of Section 4 as described below. The term of office will be for four (4) years and will begin March 1, 2009.

Those wishing to be considered for appointment to the position must file at the office of the Noxious Weed Control Board of Grant County, Bureau of Reclamation Building, 32 "C" Street N.W., Room 321, Ephrata, Washington, 98823, prior to 12:00 noon on January 16, 2009. Those wishing to apply must make a written application that includes the signatures of a least ten (10) registered voters residing in the section supporting the nomination. Those wishing to apply must also meet the requirements of the Revised Code of Washington 17.10, and must reside in their respective section.

Section 4 covers the portion of Grant County lying westerly of Highway 17, southeasterly of Highways 283 and I-90 and northerly of the Frenchman Hills.

AUTHORITY: The Noxious Weed Control Board of Grant County under Chapter 17.10 of the Revised Code of Washington.
