Missing Moses Lake woman found

MOSES LAKE — Rayona Marie Torres, 31, Moses Lake, is no longer a missing person.

Moses Lake police reported Torres missing after finding her abandoned vehicle earlier this month. Suspicious evidence located in the vehicle prompted police to report her missing since they were unable to immediately locate her.

Capt. Dave Ruffin said Monday they have received adequate information to remove the missing person’s label.

Torres’ mother called the Columbia Basin Herald to help inform police she had recent phone contact with her daughter.

They have yet to meet with her in person and are still investigating what they found in her vehicle.

Police have not released information about the evidence they located in the vehicle because it could compromise their investigation, he said.
