GRANGER, Wash. — The Royal Knights boys basketball team couldn’t capitalize on 17 points from senior Blair Collins as the Knights fell to the Granger Spartans 57-38 Tuesday night.

The Knights continued to shoot poorly from the field, managing to shoot below 25 percent from the floor this season.

Royal head coach Peter Christensen said his team is having difficulties scoring points.

“As a team we are struggling mightily with getting the ball in the hoop,” he said.

Collins led the Knights in scoring while junior Marc Albertson fell one point short of a triple-double.

Albertson finished the night with nine points, 17 rebounds and 12 blocks in the loss.

Senior Connor Paysse added five points and six rebounds.

While the Knights are struggling this season, Christensen said his team is making improvements.

“We are moving forward,” he said. “Just not as fast as we would like to be.”

The Knights return to the basketball court Friday night when the travel to Connell.

The opening tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

The Knights return home to Royal City Saturday night when they host River View High School at 7:30 p.m.
