Our beloved son, brother, relative and friend to many passed away in his home.

Jose is survived by his parents, Melquiades and Maria Paz Garcia, and his sisters, Alma Garcia-Andrade and Yadira Garcia. he is also survived by his loving extended family and many friends.

Born and raised in Moses Lake, his dedication to academics led him to pursue his studies in biology at Central Washington University and Spanish literature/foreign languages at Washington State University. While living in Seattle, he worked as a middle school Spanish teacher and a corporate events coordinator. A dedicated Cougars fan, former soccer star, world traveler and avid writer, Jose shared many interests. He was influenced by the works of Pablo Neruda, Ernest Hemingway and Jorge Luis Borges, inspiring him to write many short stories and poems.

He will always be remembered as a kind and caring man. Jose was deeply loved by family and friends and will be remembered by all who knew him. His presence in our lives will be missed. Serviced will be held at Our Lady of Fatima in Moses Lake on Wednesday at 10 a.m.
