The Town of Mattawa has applied for a State Waste Discharge (SWD) permit in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 90.48 Revised Code of Washington (RCW), Chapter 173-220 Washington Administrative Code (WAC), and the Federal Clean Water Act.
The Town of Mattawa presently owns or operates a municipal wastewater treatment plant. The wastewater, following treatment, must meet the requirements of the Washington State Water Pollution Control Act and applicable regulations for a permit to be issued.
The Department of Ecology is proposing to renew the permit and is hereby issuing public notice of its intent. Interested persons are invited to submit their name, address, and comments regarding this permit to:

Power Pointe 2 & 3 Major Plats: Smart Homes, Inc. submitted applications to revise 2 major subdivisions on Dec. 5, 2008.The application was determined to be complete and ready for review on Dec. 8, 2008. The proposal is to alter the street layout and park location in 2 previously-approved preliminary plats in the R-1, Single Family Residential Zone. The number of lots and area to be developed are not proposed to be changed. The plats contain 70 lots on 24 acres, locate west of Division Street and north of Linden Avenue. The project has been determined to be consistent with the City's Comprehensive Plan, and the following development regulations are applicable to the project: Moses Lake Municipal Code (MLMC) Title 14: Environmental Regulations, Title 16: Buildings and Constitution, Title 17: Subdivisions, Title 18: Zoning, and Title 20: Development Review Process.
The Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing on the proposal revisions on Jan. 15, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers located at 401 Balsam Street. All interested persons are encouraged to attend and provide comment on the proposed revisions.
Written comments on the revisions to this proposal will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on the date of the public hearing. Persons who want to be informed of future actions, or the final decision, on this proposal should provide their name and address to the project planner. The final decision on this proposal will be made within 120 days of the date of the notice of completeness and may be appealed according to the City appeal provisions specified in MLMC 20.11, Appeals. SUMMARY
This ordinance allows the City of Othello to levy an ad valorem tax against all real property within the corporate limits of the City of Othello for the 2009 fiscal year. The total collection request for FY 2009 is $1,254,607.
