Ines Lucille Keating

Ines Lucille Keating, 83, of Moses Lake, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Dec. 7, 2008, in Moses Lake.

Ines was born May 1, 1925, in Denver, Colo., to Harold T. and Clara May (Porter) Walter.

Ines was a devout mother, craftsperson and a friend to all. She loved all kinds of craft making, she never stopped making things, from many types of dolls, crocheting and sewing, to decorating her home, children’s home, and grandchildren’s homes for Christmas. She worked all year long to make gifts for Christmas for her family and friends. She will be especially remembered for her love and devotion for Christmas and all of its festivities. She loved to cook, and everyone was always welcome.

She is survived her children, Christina (Robert) Ibarra of Anaheim, Calif.; Dr. Daniel (Jennie) Sloane, D.O., of Moses Lake; Mick Keating of Missoula, Mont.; grandchildren John, Roberta, Laura, Tony, Chris, Mara, Ryan, Sierra and Kortni; 18 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Edward M. Keating in 1996, two daughters, Toni Marie Keating and Jean M. Keating, and her parents.

A memorial service in celebration of Ines’s life will be held at 3:30 p.m., Saturday at Light and Life Fellowship, 935 W. Valley Rd., Moses Lake.
