WENATCHEE — The Mission Ridge Ski and Board Resort will reopen for skiing and snowboarding Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. officials announced Wednesday.

The Mission Ridge resort will open again Saturday and Sunday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Employees at the resort are excited for the upcoming winter sports season, said Mission Ridge Director of Sales and Marketing Jerri Barkley

“We are excited to reopen again and looking forward to more snow like everyone else,” she said. “We join everyone else in hoping for a strong winter-weather pattern to move in soon so all the ski areas in the state can get open. That would be ideal.”

Barkley said it is early in the season and the Mission Ridge resort will have limited access.

“It is still early in the season with limited terrain on chair No. 1 and the Liberator Express,” she said. “Three trails covering 45 acres and 2,250 vertical feet are scheduled for the weekend.”

Future operational plans at Mission Ridge will be announced at a later date.
