Maria Rita Flores
On Nov. 29, 2008, the Lord chose Maria Rita Flores to be with her beloved husband, Fernando, S. Flores, whom she so dearly missed and loved very much, to be together for eternity.
Maria was born Jan. 31, 1928, in Villagran, Tamaulipas, Mexico. She had the pleasure not once, not twice, but three times to exchange vows with the man she loved for more than 50 years. Although she never had to do very much labor work, Maria had plenty of work being the loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and true friend to all who had the honor to know her.
She leaves her loving and caring family of 13 wonderful children: Frances (Dean) Lale, Spokane; Ramon (Carmen) Fuentes Flores, Warden; Raul (Mary) Flores, Arlington, Wash.; Blanca (Guillermo) Perez, Warden; Elvira Mora (Javier Ojeda), Warden; Fernando Flores Jr. (Fernanda Romero), Warden; Jose Luis (Marylou) Flores, Burlington, Wash.; Alfredo (Sandra) Flores, Warden; Norma Flores, Warden; Victor (Becky) Flores, Warden; Armando Flores, Warden; Mary Flores (Ignacio Deleon), Warden; Elizabeth (Kevin) Waner, Warden; 51 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Elena Velasquez, Mexico and Guadalupe Rodriquez, Brownsville, Texas; two brothers, Antonio Perales and Gilberto Perales, both of Mexico, and numerous extended family members in the Brownsville, Texas area.
Mom, although you are physically gone, we know that one day you and dad will embrace us all with open arms and loving hearts as we each arrive at the gates of heaven to be together once again as the joyful, caring, united family you enjoyed. We thank you for being our mother and we hope you are as proud of us as we are of you. Give dad a hug and kiss from us and remember - we will always love and miss you both!
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, at Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Warden. Viewing will take place at the church on Tuesday afternoon from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. and on Wednesday at the church from 9 a.m. until service time. Arrangements are in care of Kayser's Chapel and Crematory, Moses Lake. You may sign the guest book or leave a note for the family at www.kayserschapel.com.
