Lorraine M. Finley

Lorraine M. Finley, 88, longtime Moses Lake resident, passed away Saturday, Nov. 29, 2008, at Samaritan Hospital.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, at the First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Paul Wagner officiating. Arrangements are in care of Kayser's Chapel and Crematory. You may sign the guestbook or leave a note for the family at www.kayserschapel.com.

Lorraine was born on February 25, 1920, in Sheldon, Iowa, daughter of the late Chester Edmond and Ruth Ella "Coats" Cochran. In her pre-school years her family moved to Pinehurst, Wash. She had a star role in her senior high musical, "The Count and the Co-ed," with Darren McGavin. She graduated from Puyallup High School. She was married in Puyallup in 1938 and had two daughters, Sharon Isabelle and Lynne Lorraine. In 2002, she married Robert Cline Finley and enjoyed six beautiful years in Moses Lake. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and loved playing bridge with her friends. She was truly a friend to all.

Lorraine is survived by her husband, Robert C. Finley, Moses Lake; two daughters and sons-in-laws, Sharon Isabelle and Robert Ketcham, Moses Lake, and Lynne Lorraine and Gene Pope, Moses Lake; one brother, Donald "Bud" Wayne Cochran, Issaquah, Wash., and one sister, Novella Dee Hart, Boise, Idaho; seven grandchildren, Laurie, Teresa, Jeffrey, Kimberly, Debra, Juliana and Susan; 20 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren.
