William Arleigh Walker (Bill)

William Arleigh Walker (Bill), 69, of Moses Lake, died of injuries sustained in an explosion at his residence Aug. 2 2008.

Bill was born on July 19, 1939, in Vallejo, Calif., to Herb and Nova Walker. He was raised and schooled in California. He moved his family from Camden, Ohio to Moses Lake in 1971. He worked for Swartz Electric and has been in the Electrical Union for 50 years.

Bill loved being with family and his beloved dog Oscar. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and tinkering in his shop. He was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone!

He was preceded in death by his parents, two daughters, Kathy and Sarah Otto and two granddaughters, Stacey Larreau and Jessica Alaniz.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Dorothy Walker of Moses Lake, one brother, Milo, of California, granddaughter Victoria Otto, of California, whom he raised, daughter Marion (John) Lester of Moses Lake, sons Ben Otto of Moses Lake, and Orville (Denise) Otto of Yakima, daughters Valerie (Tom) Johnson, Lottie (Jerry) Harsh, Nancy (Larry) Black, all of Camden, Ohio, children Billy, Jeffrey and Nancy Walker of California, Carol and Doug of Grants Pass, Ore., 27 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held in Moses Lake on Aug. 6. Final burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery in Camden, Ohio.

Bill will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
